Alyssa serves as technical lead for the main Penn Libraries website. She develops and oversees progressive feature enhancements to the site while training library staff on its functionality and serving as a resource regarding its technical capabilities to colleagues planning upcoming projects. Alyssa is also a member of the team developing Apotheca, the administrative end of the Libraries' digital repository Colenda.

Prior to joining the Penn Libraries, Alyssa was the Web and Media Specialist at the University Archives & Records Center of the University of Pennsylvania where she designed and developed the websites of the Archives & Records Center and the West Philadelphia Community History Center, established the Archives' social media presence, carried out high resolution reproduction requests, and assisted in several migrations of the Archives' finding aid and digital image collections. Upon the Archives' integration into the Penn Libraries, she executed the merger of the Libraries' Penn Rare and Unique at Penn blogs into a single redesigned Unique at Penn.

Alyssa served as a co-organizer of WordCamp Philly in 2019 and 2020, and WordCamp US in 2021.

She holds a BFA in Photography & Digital Imaging from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, a BS in Computer Science from CUNY Brooklyn College, and an MA in Art Education from NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
