Lauren supports and collaborates with research teams, faculty, and students across the subject area spectrum regarding data management, data analysis, data literacy, data sharing, research workflows, and compliance with publisher and funder mandates. Her goal is to assist researchers with managing the research data lifecycle so they can in turn conduct efficient, effective, and ethical research.

Prior to this position, Lauren worked as a graduate assistant with the Research Data Service department in the University Library at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In that position, she helped design, deliver, and evaluate workshops on research data management issues and created online resources for the data services. She also completed a practicum with the Hathi-Trust Research Center where she collaborated on data management aspects of a digital humanities project.

Lauren graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with her Masters of Science in Library and Information Science. Before that, she received her BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice with a minor in English Studies from North Central College in Naperville, IL.
