As the Head of Research Data Services within the Research Data and Digital Scholarship Team, Lynda designs, develops, and implements the Libraries’ research support services for Penn community members who work with data at any point in the research lifecycle. She works with the RDDS team to develop programming, educational opportunities, and more. She coordinates support for Penn researchers in preparing qualitative and quantitative data for analysis, designing data management workflows and planning, and curating data.

Prior to Penn, Lynda was the Senior Data Librarian at the Cornell Institute for Social and Economic Research (now the Cornell Center for Social Sciences). At Cornell, she managed the CISER Data and Reproduction Archive, provided project support for Freedom on the Move, and was a member of the consultation and workshops teams assisting users in finding and using data. Before that, she was the Research Data Services Coordinator and Assistant Director of International & Global Studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She brings over 15 years of experience helping researchers and students discover, access, use, and archive data.

She holds a PhD in American History from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, an MA in Political Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an MLIS from UNCG.
