Smadar Shtuhl works on acquisitions for the Library at the Katz Center. She earned her MA in European History from Villanova University and a PhD in American Women’s History from Temple University. She has taught at Temple and Rutgers Universities.She received the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Fellowship from the Library Company of Philadelphia and the Historical Society of Pennsylvania (2007). She was selected to serve for five consecutive years (2010-2015) as the Commonwealth Speaker for the Pennsylvania Humanities Council with the topic “Nursing in a Civil War Field Hospital” and conducted presentations across the state. She had been selected by Senator Dailyn Leach as the Penn Ambassador of Montgomery County in a statewide meeting of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission Annual Meeting (2008).
