Coffee with a Codex: Confession
An informal lunch or coffee time to meet virtually with Kislak curators and talk about one of the manuscripts from Penn's collections. Each week we'll feature a different manuscript and the expertise of one of our curators. Everyone is welcome to attend. On September 13, Curator Dot Porter will bring out Ms. Codex 1263, a two-part manual of confession for use by a female penitent, probably in a religious order. Written in Italy, probably in Tuscany, in the first half of the 15th century. See the record in the Franklin catalog.
