An informal lunch or coffee time to meet virtually with Kislak curators and talk about one of the manuscripts from Penn's collections. Each week we'll feature a different manuscript and the expertise of one of our curators. Everyone is welcome to attend. On October 4, Curator Dot Porter will bring out LJS 236, a medical miscellany with almost the first half of the volume devoted to a copy of Thesaurus pauperum, a compilation of remedies for a variety of diseases frequently attributed to Petrus Hispanus, later Pope John XXI. Written in northern Italy in the second half of the 15th century. See the record here: https://franklin.library.upenn.edu/catalog/FRANKLIN_9958895573503681
