3D scan and 3D print objects

Learn how to utilize various 3D scanning technologies and processes to digitize existing objects. We will cover processes like using your smartphone with different apps with or without cloud processing, software on computers to process 3D scans like photogrammetry, or even using professional LiDAR equipment to scan whole buildings.

Learning Outcome: Through this workshop, students will understand the pros and cons of different 3D scanning technologies and how to effectively use them for suitable applications. In addition, students will be able to experience first hand how to 3D scan objects and learn about the equipment and resources available to them from the Libraries.
