Archives Month Philly
Celebrating archives, the work of archivists, and the rich history of Philadelphia at events across the city and surrounding areas.
This event has already occurred
In the words of Emily Dickinson, “There is no Frigate like a Book To take us Lands away.” But why stop at books? Add atlases, letters, travel diaries, photo albums, sketchbooks, souvenirs, posters, ocean liner menus, and the armchair travel possibilities are endless. Take a voyage through the far-flung geographical corners of our collections; the catalogers of the Kislak Center will be your guides.
Join us on Wednesday, October 23rd from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Kislak Center in the Class of '78 Pavilion.
This event is a part of Archives Month Philly. Archives Month Philly is a chance to learn more about the rich history of Philadelphia, to toast the important work archives are doing, and to have a good time with interesting people. For more information visit their website.
