Come and bind your own book at Common Press! In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn the Button Hole Stitch Binding, a variation of sewing used in medieval limp bindings. It's a non-adhesive binding with a paper cover, exposed sewing, and opening along the spine. This method binds the signatures and cover together simultaneously with one length of thread.

All supplies are provided free of charge and no prior bookbinding experience is necessary! Use your creation as a notebook or sketchbook, a gift, or a model for additional handmade books.

Workshop is led by Erica Honson, studio coordinator at Common Press.
