Coffee with a Codex: Prayers in Arabic & Coptic
For Coffee With a Codex on June 12, Curator Dot Porter will bring out two examples of manuscripts written in Coptic and Arabic.
Hosted by: SIMS and Kislak Center

An informal lunch or coffee time to meet virtually with Kislak curators and talk about one of the manuscripts from Penn's collections. Each week we'll feature a different manuscript and the expertise of one of our curators. Everyone is welcome to attend.
On June 12, Curator Dot Porter will bring out two examples of manuscripts written in Coptic and Arabic. CAJS Rar Ms 192 is a 19th century copy of two prayers in Coptic with Arabic translation, and CAJS Rar Ms 195 is a late 18th century copy of the Psalms in Coptic and Arabic with illuminations before each new prayer.
Note that the Zoom links for Coffee With a Codex are reusable - register once and attend every Thursday at 12pm EST / 5pm GMT.
