Coffee with a Codex: Qur'ān written in Malta
An informal lunch or coffee time to meet virtually with Kislak curators and talk about one of the manuscripts from Penn's collections. Each week we'll feature a different manuscript and the expertise of one of our curators. Everyone is welcome to attend.
On December 18, Curator Dot Porter brought out Ms. Codex 1904, a copy of the Qur'ān, with instructions for how much to read from the Qur'ān every day of the week added in modern script. Written in Malta in 1654. (OPenn, Colenda, Internet Archive, CWAC Recording)
