Coffee with a Codex: Treatises on munitions and explosive devices
An informal lunch or coffee time to meet virtually with Kislak curators and talk about one of the manuscripts from Penn's collections. Each week we'll feature a different manuscript and the expertise of one of our curators. Everyone is welcome to attend.
On June 8, Curator Dot Porter brought out three 16th century German treatises on munitions and explosive devices, with many illustrations of the various devices and their uses: Ms. Codex 109, Ms. Codex 129, and LJS 442. (OPenn: Ms. Codex 109, Ms. Codex 129, LJS 442; BiblioPhilly: Ms. Codex 109, Ms. Codex 129, LJS 442; CWAC Recording)
