Many people turn to Google to look for health information. Since Wikipedia, an online open-source encyclopedia, usually appears on Google search results, Wikipedia is currently one of the world's most popular websites. It is important to ensure that the information on Wikipedia pages is from reliable sources and is in plain (easier-to-read) language.
In honor of the African American Resource Center's annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Symposium on Social Change, Penn Libraries is participating in the Network of the National Library of Medicine's (NNLM) #citeNLM Wikipedia Edit-a-thon initiative to edit health-related Wikipedia pages.
