Georeferencing is the process of assigning spatial coordinates to an image or map, allowing it to be accurately positioned on the Earth's surface. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of georeferencing and how to use QGIS, a free and open-source GIS software, to georeference scanned maps. No prior experience with GIS is required. By the end of the workshop, you will have the skills to georeference your own maps and integrate them into your GIS projects.
