Grad Cafe: Copyright and Generative AI

With over 60 lawsuits currently ongoing in the U.S. alone, courts are currently trying to determine how copyright law applies to generative AI. This session will provide a high level overview of the copyright issues that popular generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and Claude raise.

Please note that sessions are held in Van Pelt Library, not the Grad Center. Our event begins promptly at 3:15pm so please arrive early to find your snack and seat. A Penn graduate ID is required for entry.
