Welcome to Metals & Jewelry!
Dive into the art of metalworking in this hands-on, beginner-friendly workshop. Learn essential safety practices while mastering the use of a rolling mill, textured rolling plates, hydraulic press, fast stamping system die, and flex shaft rotary tool.

In this special collaboration with the Ormandy Music Library, we’ll explore the fascinating intersection of music and craft—uncovering how toolmaking and design can shape and enhance musical expression. Using copper or bronze, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind guitar pick that’s both functional and uniquely yours.

Learning Goal:
Develop fine motor skills and design thinking.

Learning Outcome:
By the end of the workshop, students will be able to design, plan, and fabricate an original jewelry piece using base metals hydraulic press and a rolling mill, demonstrating effective material selection, hands-on technical skills, and intentional design decision-making.
