Engraving of the storming of the Bastille

In this presentation, Roger Chartier will introduce and analyze a recent acquisition, La Cocarde citoyenne, printed in Paris by Jean-Pierre Jubert in 1789. This miniature almanac contains a series of engravings documenting early events of the revolution, as well as a "secretaire" or notebook containing pages prepared on erasable paper.
