Mitt Romney: Finding Common Ground
Senator Mitt Romney joins Penn POLIS, the University of Pennsylvania's premier nonpartisan pre-professional government society, for a fireside chat. This event is open to PennCard holders only. Seating will be first come, first served.
We are pleased to welcome Senator Mitt Romney, one of America’s leading statesmen and political figures, for a conversation about his career in public service, his experience at the highest levels of American politics, and how we can come together to address policy concerns even despite our differences. Having served as a governor, U.S. senator, and presidential candidate, Senator Romney brings a distinctive perspective on leadership, policymaking, and the role of public service in a democracy.
The conversation will touch on major public policy issues and the state of American politics — including whether our leaders can rise above polarization and gridlock to address pressing problems — as well as his advice for the next generation of civic leaders on why public service matters and how students can get involved.
Moderated by Marie Harf, Executive Director, Perry World House, University of Pennsylvania; and Brian Rosenwald, Director of Red and Blue Exchange, University of Pennsylvania, among other roles at Penn.
Presented by POLIS in proud partnership with the Penn Libraries Building Bridges Fund, Red and Blue Exchange, SNF Paideia Program, and Perry World House.
