Natural Dye Paste Papers

Join us to learn the process of designing paste papers using natural dyes! Paste papers are commonly used as covers in bookbinding and other decorative paper crafts. 

The Common Press and Materials Library staff collaborate to introduce this approachable do-it-yourself medium to registrants. Attendees will use paste made from readily available resources like corn starch, marigolds, and onion skins. Learn how to mix up your own colorful paste and create unique textures with simple tools like brushes and cardboard scrap.

Please note that there are two sessions for this event accommodating up to 10 people for each hour. Registrants are asked to select one session: session A (9/14) from 2:00-3:00pm or session B (9/14) from 3:00-4:00pm. Registration includes supplies for making paste paper designs.
