Open Access Week
Open Access Week is an annual opportunity for the academic and research community to learn about the potential benefits of open access and share their insights with colleagues.
This hybrid panel brings together editors of scholarly journals to discuss how their journals made the decision to move from a subscription model to Open Access, what the financial implications were, and what the impact has been on their readership.

The panel will consist of 10-minute case studies from Penn-based journals that have flipped to OA. A representative from the University of Pennsylvania Press will discuss the Press’ Open Access strategy — current content from eleven out of the Press’ twenty-eight journals is now openly available. The session will conclude with a Q&A where panelists will offer advice on how to plan for an OA transition.
