Penn Libraries Presents: 250 years of Jewish History: A Look at Jewish Life and Culture Through Penn's Judaica Collections

The Judaica special collections held at the University of Pennsylvania document Jewish life from around the world, ranging from the 18th to 21st centuries. In honor of the America 250 events happening across the country, this presentation will explore over 250 years of Jewish history, academic studies, and culture through the special collections found at Penn. 

The Penn Libraries Presents series gives Penn Libraries staff an opportunity to share their work and research.

The Judaica special collections held at the University of Pennsylvania document Jewish life from around the world, ranging in date from the 18th to 21st century. In honor of the America 250 events happening across the country, this presentation will explore the over 250 years of Jewish history, academic studies, and culture through the special collections found at Penn. Included in this vast collecting area are documents examining Jewish colonists in early America, materials from Jewish refugees after the Holocaust, and of Jewish people living in Soviet Uzbekistan.
