Have an app idea? Or a weird little tool you wish existed? Something you want to make just because? Come vibe code it. We’ll use AI coding tools to go from idea to working-ish thing in one afternoon. No need to show up knowing exactly what you’re doing—that’s kind of the point. Open to all Penn staff, students, and faculty. Please bring your laptop.
Below is a rough schedule. Participants are welcome to arrive and leave throughout the session as needed:
- Part 1 (12:30–1:15 PM): Download the tools/programs, set up your laptop/environment, configure AI/LLM accounts via Penn or otherwise, and make sure everything actually works. RDDS will be on hand for live support.
- Part 2 (1:15–2:45 PM): Experiment with vibe coding to make something fun, weird, or useful. Work by yourself, with others, or simply watch someone else's screen. Problems that arise can be tackled together with the group.
- Part 3 (2:45–3:30 PM): Demo your creation and see what everyone else cooked up.
