The Curator of Judaica Digital Humanities position was endowed by Arnold and Deanne Kaplan in 2019. This position has expanded the Penn Libraries’ ability to build on our collections of early American Judaica and facilitate new scholarship. The Kaplan Curator builds collaborative relationships with researchers and scholars involved with digital humanities and Judaica at Penn and beyond. They are part of the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books and Manuscripts.
The Kaplans have given many gifts to ensure long-lasting support for Judaica researchers and scholars, including funds for digitization and the donation of their own world-class collection.
