Penn Libraries is excited to announce the addition of VisualDX to our collection. VisualDx is a diagnostic clinical decision support system designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy, aid therapeutic decisions, and improve patient safety.
We are delighted to announce the launch of our newest service at the Judith & William Bollinger Digital Fabrication Lab – Laser Cutting! Our cutting-edge technology allows you to create precise and intricate designs with a variety of materials and is an excellent way to create quick planar prototypes. Tools such as MakerCase and Slicer for Fusion 360 can even be used to quickly create interlocking 3D designs.
This new service is free for academic and research use, and we provide clear and black acrylic for free. You are also welcome to bring your own materials, permitting you check with us in advance so that we can verify the material’s composition. Our laser cutter has a bed size of 36”x24”.
To use the laser cutter, simply schedule an appointment on our website and submit your design files online in Adobe Illustrator .ai format. If you are curious or have questions about this service, please email us at lasercuttingupenn@gmail.com. We look forward to assisting you with your projects.
