Part of LeMonde newspaper.

Le Monde, first published after the Liberation of Paris in World War II, is now available to Penn readers in page images with searchable fulltext from its first issue, dated 19 December 1944, through 2000. Le Monde is a newspaper of record for French and world affairs, distinguished by its analysis of events and its editorial content.

As one of ProQuest's overseas Historical Newspapers, Le Monde joins The Times of India, The Irish Times, The Jerusalem Post, The Korea Times, and a set of Chinese newspapers. The ProQuest Historical Newspapers collection also provides The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and many other U.S. titles, including African American and American Jewish newspapers.

ProQuest's digitization of Le Monde continues in progress. In mid-July 2021, issues are now available up through 1988.
