Podcasts as research—and research in podcasts

The Research Data and Digital Scholarship team held several workshops this year focused on podcasting as digital scholarship. Even if you missed one of these live sessions, you can learn about the topic in this post from Contemporary Publishing Fellow Cosette Bruhns Alonso.

From data curation to copyright

Many of our library staff members are incredibly knowledgeable about specific aspects of the research and academic publication process. For example, Research Data Engineer Lauren Phegley can help you curate your data, while Copyright Advisor Stephen Wolfson helps us all understand how copyright affects our work as scholars and librarians. Here he is talking about the recent case against the Internet Archive.

Just for fun

Being part of the Penn Libraries community can lead you to learn and explore all sorts of new skills and hobbies. Just recently, Processing Archivist Kelin Baldridge tried out a recipe she found in one of our historical cookbooks, Digital Media Lab Assistant Noelle Ramirez-Faisca took a vintage camera from the Vitale Digital Media Lab on a hike, and Instructional Technology Specialist Leqi Liu commemorated a furry friend by making a mechanical flipbook.
