Librarians can provide tailored instruction at any point in the academic year. Here are some of the ways we can help your students at key times during your course.
Before the start of the semester, or early in the semester, instructors may want to request that librarians provide in-course instruction, so that librarians can help students with incremental research for final paper assignments or projects that require in-depth research and use of library resources over the course of the semester.
Mid-semester, librarians can visit to provide in-course instruction ahead of a mid-term project so students gain experience with library resources during their window of research, or so that they learn about resources and library services ahead of multiple research assignments.
At the end of the semester, when students are actively working on final papers and final projects, librarians can provide in-course instruction to introduce library resources that directly apply to their work.
