You can make a scanning request for materials held at Penn Libraries or at an international network of lending libraries. To request a scan of 50 pages or less of material, use our library search tool to find the item you need and select "Email me a chapter or section." See below for more detailed instructions, including what to do if you need more than 50 pages scanned.

After finding the book or article you're looking for using our online search tool, click "Request This Item." Then select "Email me a chapter or section," and fill out the form indicating what chapter(s) or pages you need. Note that you can only request 50 pages or less of material using this method.
To request a scan from material at another institution, use the Request an Item form to indicate which what chapter(s) or pages you need.
To support remote access to our collections, you may request on-demand digitization of special collections material for up to 100 PDF pages for free or 15 JPG/TIF images for free.
For out-of-copyright works, you can place requests for 51–1,000 pages by email. Include the following information about the item:
