Request a scan from general collections

After finding the book or article you're looking for using our online search tool, click "Request This Item." Then select "Email me a chapter or section," and fill out the form indicating what chapter(s) or pages you need. Note that you can only request 50 pages or less of material using this method. Please place a separate request for each chapter or section.

To request a scan from material at another institution, use the Request an Item form to indicate which what chapter(s) or pages you need.

Request a scan from Penn Libraries special collections

To support remote access to our collections, you may request on-demand digitization of special collections material for up to 100 PDF pages for free or 15 JPG/TIF images for free.

Request a scan of more than 50 pages of material

For out-of-copyright works, you can place requests for 51–1,000 pages by email. Include the following information about the item:

• Bibliographic information
• Item format
• If you need the scan by a certain date (typical turnaround time is two weeks)
