Alicia Meyer is the Curator of Research Services at the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books, and Manuscripts. Her work focuses on pedagogy and advancing research methodologies that empower students to engage deeply with rare books and archival resources at the Kislak Center and beyond. 

Meyer's teaching and research focus on early modern literature, especially Shakespeare, and material culture. She received her doctorate in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania with a dissertation on marginalized women in early modern drama and popular culture. Before joining the Kislak Center, she was a long-term fellow at the Folger Shakespeare Library and the Dean’s Postdoctoral Fellow in Teaching Excellence at the University of Pennsylvania. She has published widely on early modern literature, Shakespeare, gender and sexuality studies, and the history of health and medicine.
