Gina Pambianchi
Gina is responsible for building upon an already well-established program of local engagement by seeking out new partnership opportunities and nurturing existing relationships. This includes analyzing existing outreach programs and services that meet the needs of specific communities, designing projects to improve their accessibility and impact, and partnering with local schools and community organizations to promote the development of public school libraries and programming.
Gina has many years of experience supporting both children's and adult literacy. Before taking the position of Community Engagement Librarian, she worked alongside Ancil George as the coordinator for the Libraries' Community Outreach Program. She has been a curriculum specialist for the Hope Partnership for Education, and has held internships in the reading, writing, and literacy programs of the William Meredith School, the Philadelphia Center for Literacy, and the Folk Art-Cultural Treasures Charter School. She has served as the program coordinator, remedial reading specialist, and library program manager for the St. Martin de Porres Primary School in Belize. She has also worked as a registered nurse on a Transplant/Oncology unit at Einstein Medical Center.
Gina holds a Master of Science in Education in Reading/Writing/Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University, and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medicine/Biology from Spring Hill College.
