Gwen Fancy

Gwen provides reference and consultation services to the Veterinary Medicine community at Penn Vet Philadelphia campus and the New Bolton Center campus.

Before coming to Penn, she worked as a School Library Media Specialist. She began her career as a microbiologist performing a variety of assays and laboratory procedure and has worked as a science teacher in both Texas and Pennsylvania. Her immersion in science is not limited to her teaching and work as a microbiologist; she grew up on a Texas ranch that employs scientific processes for data-driven decision-making.

Gwen holds an MLS from Kutztown University and a BA in biology from the University of Texas, Austin.
