Ian Dykstra

Ian works on the 4th floor of Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, maintaining the stacks and assisting patrons. Prior to this, he worked at LIBRA, preparing materials for accessioning and performing bibliographic maintenance. Before coming to Penn, Ian served as a Library Assistant, Reference Librarian Intern and Student Assistant at other public and academic libraries. He is interested in collection development and management and reference librarianship. Recently, he served as a research consultant on the topic of Evidence Based Acquisition for Rutgers University Libraries’ central collection committee.

Ian has an MI in Library & Information Science from Rutgers University and a BA in Philosophy and Art from Ursinus College. He also plays drums, and loves talking about books, movies, painting, and baseball.
