Joseph Holub
Joe has degrees in History (B.A., University of Pennsylvania; M.A., University of California, Berkeley; M.Phil., City University of New York) with an area emphasis on Latin America and Western Europe, as well as an M.S. in Information Studies from Drexel University. Graduate research focused on early 19th century Mexico and early 20th century Brazil. At Penn he was library liaison for the International Relations program and developed the Latin American collections. A member of the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM), he indexed for the Hispanic American Periodicals Index (HAPI) and brought Penn into cooperative programs, including the Latin American Materials Project (LAMP), the Latin American Research Resources Project (LARRP), and the Latin America North East Libraries Consortium (LANE). He is currently responsible for the collections in Iberian Studies, Romance Languages, and Religious Studies.
