

Lydian Brambila (they/any) is the Medical Education Librarian at Penn’s Holman Biotech Commons. In this role, they provide research consultations, workshops, and instruction for students, and residents across the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM), JMEC, and Penn Medicine, as well as students in the Graduate School of Education’s M.S.Ed. program and undergraduates on the pre-med track. They collaborate with Penn Libraries colleagues to provide evidence synthesis services, including consultations, instruction, and advanced training in search strategies and citation management. A key part of their work involves engaging learners and faculty in evaluating new resources and tools to ensure that the library’s services evolve alongside developments in the medical curriculum.
Prior to joining Penn, Lydian worked at the University of Georgia as a Research Librarian and Library Services Manager and served as Community Coordinator for Peer 2 Peer University, a grassroots global education network. They hold a B.A. in Anthropology and Comparative Literature from the University of Georgia and an M.L.I.S. from Valdosta State University.
