Shea is responsible for oversight of the University's Records and Information Management Program. He helps all University staff understand their responsibilities related to Records and Information management as well as supporting staff at the University's Record Center. 

Prior to arriving at the University, Shea worked as an administrative analyst for the City of Philadelphia for a little over a year. Before moving to Philadelphia from Austin, Shea was a state employee in Texas for nearly 20 years. In his last role there, Shea served as the Records Management Officer and Director of Document Services for the Texas Workforce Commission from 2019-2022. Prior to that, Shea managed the State Records and Imaging Center for the State of Texas, which included modernizing the center to allow online customer access to record indexes, expanding a microfilm processing unit to a full service digital imaging center and creating/enabling a career ladder for all SRC staff.  

Shea holds a B.A. in English Literature from Providence College.
