Saudia is responsible for managing the Van Pelt Circulation Desk and its associated functions, including course reserves, user access, and affiliation management. With a background in both public and academic libraries, Saudia brings deep experience in access services, public services, and user-centered operational design. Saudia works closely with colleagues across Access Services and campus partners to ensure that service models, both physical and digital, are welcoming, consistent, and adaptable to the evolving needs of Penn’s diverse community.
Saudia previously worked as the Director of Patron Services at Hudson County Community College in Jersey City, NJ. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in History at Indiana University. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and History from St. Joseph’s University - Brooklyn. A proud Brooklyn native, she carries with her the values of community, curiosity, and resilience that have shaped her personal and professional life.
