Collection Overview

The library has strong collections about sexual minorities. This includes material from many different disciplines and covers various populations in the LGBTQ+ communities. There are also great resources in multi-media formats. The collection is diverse in language and time period. An effort is made to cover topics in queer studies especially in history and literature. Educational materials dealing with bullying is another example of a special topic of interest.

The definition of sexual minorities is fluid and may be thought of as having an "open canon" meaning that there are identities yet to be explored so it is very important to attend to the evolution of the publishing and media worlds.
