Library services during winter break: Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center will be closed on 12/25 and on 1/1-1/2, and will be open all other weekdays between 12/25 and 1/1. All other libraries will be closed from 12/25 to 1/4. Circulation of books and materials, as well as other services, will also be affected. See our Service Alerts for more details

Charge

The Employee Advisory Committee is a representative group of staff that advises the Senior Leadership team on issues relating to the Penn Libraries staff experience. Members are expected to solicit feedback from staff across the Libraries, review best practices from the profession, and prepare recommendations for continued improvements to the staff experience. The thematic focus of the group will change on an annual basis and will be informed by committee recommendations. Themes may include:  

  • Enhancing internal communication
  • Professional development
  • Policies and procedures
  • Onboarding
  • Opportunities to socialize or learn about each other

For the 2023-2024 academic year, the theme is enhancing internal communication.
