As the Applied Data Science Librarian for the Penn community, Jaj Karajgikar (she/her) engages with researchers across disciplines interested in data storytelling, computational social sciences, statistics, etc. She established the Penn Libraries AI Literacy Interest Group, hosts Data Carpentry workshops, collaborates on digital scholarship projects with global partners and class visits with campus partners, focusing on research computing, critical data literacy, and data ethics. Her research interests include HTR, multilingual manuscripts, Asian art history, game-based learning, media studies, STS, critical making, digital humanities, and critical artificial intelligence.
