Emily Morton-Owens
Associate Vice Provost for Technology & Digital Initiatives | Penn Libraries
Emily leads a team driving digital infrastructure, educational technology, research data, and cultural heritage technologies. With a background spanning IT leadership at Penn, the Seattle Public Library, and NYU, she has developed and taught digital systems and technology-driven approaches to information access. A former president of the Library Information Technology Association, she has authored numerous publications on emerging technologies, data privacy, and digital discovery. She holds MS degrees in Computer Science (NYU) and Library & Information Science (Drexel).
