Hands-On Introduction to Generative AI for Printing

Explore the creative potential of Generative AI in this beginner-friendly workshop. Gain hands-on experience using OpenAI tools to generate custom imagery, and learn how to prepare your designs for a variety of applications — from zines to laser engraving. You’ll also dive into the ethics, licensing, and responsible use of AI-generated content, equipping you with both practical skills and thoughtful guidance for your creative projects.

Please note: This is Part 1 of a two-part workshop series. From Bits to Atoms: Use AI to Make Physical Art—Part 2 will be held in the Education Commons on November 21. We encourage you to register for both sessions. In Part 2, you’ll create heat press objects, stickers or other things using the AI images created in Part 1.
