Students will learn how to create clean, accurate vector designs and safely operate a vinyl cutter to transform digital artwork into physical products such as stickers, labels, or decals. Through hands-on practice with professional tools and software, students will build foundational design and digital fabrication skills while gaining confidence in turning ideas into finished, real-world products.

Learning Goal:
Students will create clean, accurate vector designs and safely operate a vinyl cutter to produce personalized physical objects such as stickers, labels, or decals.

Learning Outcome:
By the end of the session, students will be able to explain the role of vector graphics in digital fabrication and apply this knowledge through hands-on use of a vinyl cutter, with concepts transferable to other digital fabrication technologies.

Please note: This is Part 2 of a two-part workshop series. Introduction to Illustrator for Vector Design—Part 1—will be held in the Vitale Digital Media Lab on March 3. We encourage you to register for both sessions.
