This hands-on, in-person workshop is designed for Penn students who have a side hustle, business idea, or early-stage startup. In this workshop, you will learn how to use Penn's library resources to research your market and industry.

After this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Understand why research matters in entrepreneurship
  • Find the right library databases for your industry
  • Use market and industry data to write or improve your business plan

About the Facilitator

Victoria Sun (she/her) is the Business & Research Support Services Librarian for the Lippincott Library at the University of Pennsylvania. As the library liaison for entrepreneurship, she supports entrepreneurial stakeholders across the university.

Victoria holds a BA in American Studies from Barnard College, Columbia University and an MI in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University. Before coming to Penn, Victoria worked at a Philadelphia-based education company, where her responsibilities included meeting with customers and innovating on the company’s products. She is a published children’s book author and was named the 2021 Betty J. Turock Spectrum Scholar by the American Libraries Association.
