Library services during winter break: Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center will be closed on 12/25 and on 1/1-1/2, and will be open all other weekdays between 12/25 and 1/1. Orrery Society

The Orrery Society recognizes donors who support information resources at a leadership giving level. Orrery Society members serve as the Penn Libraries’ ambassadors for acquisitions and collection development, digitization, conservation, and librarian travel.

The Orrery Society recognizes donors who support information resources at a leadership giving level. Orrery Society members serve as the Penn Libraries’ ambassadors for acquisitions and collection development, digitization, conservation, and librarian travel.

The Orrery Society has two major objectives:

  1. To expand access to scholarly information through term and endowed support for acquisitions, digitization, and conservation; annual gifts in support of collections; and gifts of in-kind collections
  2. To expand University and alumni awareness of the importance information plays in helping the University achieve its scholarly mission 

The Orrery Society's volunteer leadership helps advance these objectives.
