Based out of the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library, the RDDS team at Penn Libraries is your resource for all things data, computational science, and digital scholarship.

Interested in learning the basics of data science with Dataquest? What about using open-source tools like OpenRefine to clean up your datasets? If so, check out the RDDS Calendar to see all of the department's upcoming workshops, trainings, and information sessions. From workshops on coding machine learning models, to using LaTeX to format papers for academic publication, to learning the basics of computational thinking using boardgames, RDDS has something for everyone!

Beyond specialized workshops, the team also hosts regular Office Hours on Data Management and Public Digital Scholarship, giving Penn Community members the chance to sit with a data expert and discuss data or digital projects.

Want to work with RDDS on a project, but have no idea where to start? Explore some of the public-facing work RDDS has done, as well as their GitHub page to get into the nitty gritty.
