Interim Director of Development
Sam Duplessis serves as the Associate Vice President for University Development and the interim Director of Development for the Penn Libraries.
The University of Pennsylvania, founded in 1749 by a group of prominent Philadelphia businessmen, including Benjamin Franklin, gained a library thanks to gifts from many of its founders. The Penn Libraries’ Office of Advancement upholds this rich, 250-year-old tradition of giving in support of information resources and the diverse infrastructure – including spaces, talent, and technology – that guides students and scholars through their journeys of discovery.
