Reading period access: From April 30-May 12, access to the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center and the Fisher Fine Arts Library will be limited to PennCard holders and other Penn affiliates. See our Service Alerts for more information.

Books on the move: Materials on the fifth floor of the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center are being temporarily moved to our off-site storage facility. For your safety, please avoid browsing the fifth-floor stacks. See our Service Alerts for information about requesting books during the transition.

The ground floor of Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center houses a mix of collaborative and quiet study environments, along with technology services and student-centered support. Students can visit the Tech Center Help Desk, access print and scan stations, or use electronic checkout kiosks to borrow laptops and chargers. The space also includes the Rosengarten Quiet Study Area, group study rooms, open carrels, and self-service lockers for picking up requested books. Nearby, you’ll find the Undergraduate Study Center, Mark’s Café, and SCETI (Schoenberg Center for Text and Image). Locker banks for personal storage, gender-neutral restrooms, and the Butler Assistive Technology Room are also located on this level.
