Matthew is responsible for the libraries’ digital scholarship initiatives including those related to digital projects, digital humanities, public digital scholarship, and related areas. He also serves as Assistant Director for RDDS.
Dorothy manages ScholarlyCommons, the University of Pennsylvania's institutional repository. She provides training and support to ScholarlyCommons users across campus and works together with library and campus partners to highlight the benefits of making scholarship at Penn openly available.
Cynthia initiates and supports digital projects, scholarship, and programs that center community partnerships and public engagement. She consults with audiences on and beyond campus to actively facilitate opportunities for equitable collaboration, resource sharing, and critical inquiry in the digital realm.
Jaj engages with researchers across the disciplines interested in employing techniques for data storytelling, natural language processing, computational social sciences, data visualization, network analysis, and text mining. She works with campus partners to establish foundational programming in research computing, data literacy, and data ethics.
Ben supports faculty and students of all backgrounds with integrating spatial analysis into learning and research. He enjoys enabling others to form new insights into communities and environments through the use of accessible GIS technology, and is particularly interested in enabling research for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Girmaye provides research consultation and training services to faculty, staff, and students who are engaging with spatial methods, bringing deep technical expertise in both GIS and Mapping application development to that work. He enjoys the daily interaction with the campus community across all disciplines and the everyday new learning experience associated with it.
Lauren supports and collaborates with research teams, faculty, and students across the subject area spectrum regarding data management, data analysis, data literacy, data sharing, research workflows, and compliance with publisher and funder mandates. Her goal is to assist researchers with managing the research process so they can conduct efficient, effective, and ethical research.
Vicky is a second-year undergraduate in the Wharton School studying Marketing and Business Analytics. She has a wide range of marketing experience in different sectors like nonprofits, small businesses, and start-ups. She looks forward to learning more about data analysis, collection, and management to improve data ethics in the business sector.
